You just might see them again if I can improve on them. Back to the drawing board (or the cutting board!)
Welcome! We are a homeschooling family in Texas- so we've never been normal by any standards- but with the addition of our third little one, we have entered into the overwhelming and really unfun world of food allergies. Our little girl is allergic to egg white, wheat, soy, dairy, peanuts, sesame seeds, bananas, avocados, pineapples, melons, tree nuts, coconuts, flax seeds, quinoa, and sunflower seeds. This is our life as we stave off starvation and try to maintain sanity.

Recipes that didn't make the cut......
Frustration is spending so much time trying out a new recipe to find that you either hate it or it's just so bland and boring and not worth ever making again. It can look so good, smell so good, and taste so very mediocre. Here are my latest recipes that did not make the cut.............

LOL...my husband tries to be polite. "Well, it's good for what it's supposed to be," is code for "Don't even think about making this again."
ReplyDeleteThat is polite. My family is a little more critical. lol! My hubby is usually fairly honest too, but he tries to be polite. You never know until you try something! I have made several things that he said he would absolutely not like after reading the recipe, but after he actually tried it, he liked it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing so that I can feel a little less alone when trying to spin gold from straw (or allergy-friendly foods out of thin air).
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome! I have tons of failures. It's so very frustrating sometimes. Some days I send my husband out for Chick Fil A and I walk away from the kitchen!!! We always keep a few things on hand for emergency meals and there's always Rice Chex when all else fails!
